He did well when shown in the puppy classes and was a multiple Sweepstakes winner from the 12-18 class.After the 1999 National, where he was handled by Betsey Strohl, he began a short career in the open class the last week end in October.Phoenix finished his championship the first week end in December with a BOS to BeBeMae.

Phoenix has a beautiful head, soft expression, jet black pigment and a typically wonderful golden temperament.He has full dentition and a scizzor bite. He is a moderate dog with beautiful straight blond coat, balanced angulation, a level topline and fluid sidegait with proper reach and drive. He is clean coming and going and has that strong, Scotty rear that I admire. He is an OFA Good with heart and eye clearances and a normal thyroid.
